My Story

Minus a couple of study abroad adventures, I have lived in Wisconsin for my whole life. Milwaukee is what I currently call home, and I have spent hundreds of weekends exploring all corners of Wisconsin’s urban and rural communities. 

I grew up in a rural town about 35 minutes from Milwaukee. I had very little access to internet and other technology (although, what really was “the internet” back then? it was the turn of the century, after all). My most cherished days of childhood were spent exploring my own backyard and the rural landscape around me. Exciting weekend trips were out to Glorioso’s market in Milwaukee or going camping in Wausau. The occasional Wisconsin Dells trip was also a treat!

Wisconsin has something for every type of traveler: the one who wants to get lost in the bustle of city life, the one who spends their vacation days in a rocking chair watching birds and other critters, the one that’s eager to jump in a lake, go river tubing, or get lost in the forest. Aside from gorgeous scenery, there’s also an incredible music scene, locally grown produce and dairy products, craft beer, miles of vineyards, cranberries, and that special Midwest hospitality!
